I don't understand why Dak isn't playing tonight, that boys need to be out there taking snaps. At least a few drives, the rook needs all he can't learnt.
Stupid to risk it by putting him out there since he's the starter.

I agree...I know its preseason but this kids needs more playing time.

Way it looks now with a stud O line and RB, he will find a way to dick up the defense.
Find a way to fuck up the defense? Have you been in a coma? The defense ha been fucked up for a long time now. Your comment was made as if this defense has already shown any kind of promise whatsoever, and they haven't. In several years. Even before Ware was released.
I always thought a player got paid for his contract regardless if he suffered an injury and couldn't play. Isn't that what the Rangers did with Fielder?
Baseball is different. Baseball contracts are 100% guaranteed, football contracts are only parially guaranteed.
I don't think they can cut a payer who has been injured

Dak finally gets it together years later but is plagued by injuries?
No and not wishing that on Dak at all. In that scenario Jerry will find a part of the team to fuck up. Way it looks now with a stud O line and RB, he will find a way to dick up the defense.
Here is a hypothetical for yall homers.... Lets say romo is out for 8 weeks. In that time Dak has played really well and the team is siting at 6-2 when romo is available to come back. Do you keep romo benched or let him come back and resume the starting role?
Not the resident Cowboy expert, but I would guarantee Romo would resume the starting role.
I am excited with the possibility of him being Romo's successor. He *should* only get better sitting, watching, and learning. They need to just take their time. But by all accounts so far, he does appear to be a steal given where they picked him. It's way too soon to anoint him the new king though.
Some of his passes haven't been all that perfect if we are critiquing. But he's been solid obviously. I think some stellar WR play has been a big benefit to him, and nobody seems to be mentioning that part.
