My review of Lockhart - the sides were meh (potato salad, cole slaw) but the deviled eggs were badass... Overpriced, but worth it.

• Brisket - got the moist, which was indeed very most. Bark had great flavor and a nice little fat cap inside. I rank this 1% below Pecan Lodge
• Ribs - They were too big and not enough time went into smoking them IMO. The bartender asked what I thought of them, and I told him. He went back and got me 4 more that were smaller and were done to satisfaction... not to perfection, but to satisfaction.
• Sausage - Good, but a bit on the greasy side. I still killed one of them, though.

I'd go back just to get a pound of brisket and deviled eggs. Beer was cheap at the bar as well.

No, I really thought he ran out of BBQ since I was sitting there in my car watching people come and get food and then when I went up there I was told he was sold out. Only to see other customers go up there and get food, it's OK, I gave him and his customers a nice smokey burnout and the wind was blowing in the right direction to talk about when I left, as well as the trash and bones...

A few months ago, I get my refinish supplies around the corner, I go there instead of having them delivered so I can get me some BBQ. Usually I don't even see him, but this time it was close to him closing, so he saw me "break the law" and took it upon himself to say something.

I guess the me not giving a fuck about cops comment pissed him off, oh well. I knew I broke the law, I don't need some toothless ole negro fuck to tell me about breaking the law, fucking asshole!

I've been BANNED from Meshaks, he got mad that I drove 20 yards up the one way to get to his place of business. He voiced his concerns and I told him I didn't give a fuck about cops and if they did show up they could write me up while I slurped on my ribs. After that I went up to get some to go BBQ and he told me he was sold out of everything. After I got to my car I waited for a bit and he was serving shit to other customers. If you go, those burnout stripes are mine, hahah!
