I might have to try them out again. I tried to go there once...I ordered a brisket/sausage plate and the kid says "we're out of brisket." I completely understand the logic and financial reasons for not making too much food, but I seriously doubt that it's THAT good where they should be running out. There's hardly ever a car there when I drive past, which leads me to believe they're not that good, and therefore don't prepare much food. If I'm over that way and wanting BBQ, I either turn around and head to Prairie House (address listed above), or go to Riscky's on Hwy 26. They have delicious (and cheap) chopped beef sandwiches. The regular BBQ is fine, too.

Another place I went on a recommendation, and will never step foot in again is Lee's in Haslet. It's located by Alliance airport at the intersection of Westport Parkway and 156. Friend of mine said their bbq is amazing. I found it amazing that anyone would return for hard ass, dried out brisket, decent sausage, beans straight from a can (which were cold because they were just thrown into a chafing dish and into the oven as I ordered them), and good potato salad.

1/1/2008 This is Texas BBQ like no other. Yes it's in the ghetto. Yes it's scary to get there. Yes it's even scary to order. Yes it's greasy. No they don't serve "vegetables" But for crying out loud . . . did you think the best BBQ in Dallas was going to be served in Uptown?

This is seriously the best BBQ I've ever had. It's so messy, and flavorful . . . and cheap. It's open until 4 AM . . . but don't even think about it. It's seriously in a bad part of town. BUT, If you're anywhere near this place . . . go get some! Just go during daylight. And take a gun. (I'm kidding . . . unless you have one

This place on Singleton blvd. I have made a few trips all the way from Mesquite for ribs.
Check your self bro , you're not that cool.

I don't get what people like about Hard 8. Overpriced, small portions, mediocre food. Bleh.

Then again, I am no BBQ expert.

The original is infinitely better than Coppell.

I got hurt last time I got that....

<-- Fan of Hobbi's in Las Colinas. Of all things, the catfish special is awesome.

They have great spicy sauce as well.

For brisket, I prefer just to smoke my own...

Good to hear, I have never been to the original, but I thought the one in Coppell was very underwhelming.

The last good BBQ I had was at Bodacious in Henderson. I wasn't expecting much from a chain, but the brisket was fucking off the chain. Their sauce was nothing great, but luckily it was moist and tender enough not to need it.
