Luna's Tortillias is pretty damn good. But be prepared to go home empty handed if you don't pre-order them like I did last Thanksgiving. Wound up going to Dallas Tortilla and Tamale Factory and although the line was out the door, I came home with some pretty good tamales.

Aside from Delias, the best bet is to buy some from someone who makes them at home.
My wifes company has a Marriot run cafeteria and one of the mexican ladies mom makes them during thanksgiving and xmas. We placed an order for a dozen, if they come back legit, I'll post more info.

Good deal, thanks! I have the steamer thing, and will be doing several at a time.

Brent's comment about steaming them sounds like a great idea. Otherwise, I leave them in the husk, wet a paper towel and wring it out good and loosely wrap around the individual tamale or lay one on the bottom of the plate, and another across the top.
