Hah, no I'm not. He said repeatedly 47% of Americans don't pay federal taxes. There are a lot more than just one federal tax. Perhaps he should be more specific next time.

Yes. The 47ish percent that pay NOTHING into our federal income tax yet are the primary recipients of entitlement programs/pet projects/subsidations/etc need to pay in to some extent. Those programs are funded by the other 53ish percent and, basically, you're saying that since they make more money... they should pay even more so that the ones who don't pay can continue NOT paying but still getting handouts?

Don't you see the folly in your own statement?
Ah, another person who failed to read the links I posted. If you had, you'd have seen that only about 10% of the 47% not paying federal income taxes are paying zero taxes and taking welfare checks. The other 37% are middle class (~$50k/yr) families that don't pay the federal income tax due to tax credits. They still pay other federal taxes as well as state and local taxes.

    Uh no.

The only thing all this shit says is that tax cuts were passed and the public held more debt.

Making the claim that it is better to raise taxes and let the government take money out of the economy and spend it on useless shit is better than letting that money flow to capital markets or consumer spending follows along perfectly with every other retarded thing you have posted on this website.

Since you think the government taking money from people is better, go ahead and lay out your theory as to why that is true. No charts and graphs, lets hear your logic as to why $1 in my pocket does more for the economy if I send it to Washington rather than spend it or invest it.

I have been to Congress 4 times last year and 3 this year to talk to the house and senate arms committees, was at the resigning of the Americans with Disabilities act with his boy Barry (who snubbed us vets completely and refused to even look at us), I was pelosi's guest of honor at the Christmas tree lighting last year (she tried to take the seats from us vets to give to other VIP's) and so forth. I stay on top of things

Say the same idea to the far right, or the far left, and they would both tell you I'm insane. Say it to a reasonable person, and it sounds kinda nice.

Liberals just don't see things that way, dude.

They (Democrats) are a party chock full of double standards. IE: the rich should pay higher taxes to help the poor, except for me of course because I'll find any loophole to not pay my "fair share," or just create the loopholes if there isn't one there already (see General Electric).

I like this idea, but we have to go further and say if you're on welfare, you're on a works program working for that welfare check. Think of the New Deal one. You go in 40 hours a week for training and working and you get your welfare check. It has a time limit that you can use it and once you use it, you're done.
