The hard line conservatives are going to vote against Obama either way, and Christie on the ballot would net a lot more moderates than anyone else. Although I'm not sure how Christie is a liberal republican; I guess that title gets slammed on any conservative actually working towards smaller government and civil liberties and not just beating their chest with rhetoric about it?

I have not heard him talk about everything, such as immigration or gun control. Even though gun control really isn't an issue since its guaranteed by the constitution, technically. Drudge just reported today, that Christie just appointed the first openly gay, black state supreme court judge. Take that for what it is.

I saw a blurb about how his ratings were lower now in Texas than ever before. The polls were done by 5 large newspapers. Any flaws in that? Name the major cities in Texas, and every one of them carried Obama...Dallas, Ft. Woth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. His numbers were barely unfavorable even then. If the Texas economy holds up, he'll be tough to beat. If not, zombie Ann Richards could make a come-back.
