It's not just the cops doing this shit guys. A week and a half ago I deposited a $5000 check from my lawyer and a $4300 check from AlP. That put me over the limit of 5M and those cock munchers siezed my money for a week and a half. Finally unfroze it today.

Tomorrow I close the account. Cocksuckers. I've done business there for literally 20 years and they pulled this shit?

I thought this was SOP for banks. The EFA Act in 1987 placed limits on how long they may hold checks.

Edit: I've been burned a time or two because of this, too. Worst case was BofA wanting to hold a $1500 check from UTArlington that I was trying to deposit with about $600 cash back that I was to use for books. I ended up taking it to UTArlington's bank, Chase, and cashing it in its entirety there.
