i watched my parents business get destroyed during reagan's leadership with the savings and loan junk. All that was focused on was publicly traded home builders to show new home starts instead of revenue. (My father designed the first house D.R. Horton ever built.) This happened during Bush 2 as well, as long as the boys on wall st are showing home starts the housing market must be doing well....wrong. I was very young, but residential architects and custom home builders didn't exactly have a great time during the mid to late 80's. Their business came back a bit in the mid 90's, but never before like it once was.

Insurance, my father's disease that ended up killing him required insurance that was almost $2200/month, with medication that was around $938/day. Sure, life isn't fair, says the republican side, you can't afford it, he dies.......cool, most members here would have to watch their loved ones die. I understand all that, i was fortunate enough to get another 7 years after he was diagnosed. Until some of these issues from the "dark side" hit you, i can understand both sides' reasoning, i just have my own.

Ok, what makes you think any of the people who actually need that assistance wont get it if Obama doesnt get re-elected? Obama care will drive the price of private insurance up (it already has) and the quiality of heath care down.

In my personal situation the republican plans don't make the world a better place for me. I can't understand why anyone from my side would be upset with what he said, it was an honest game plan on what to focus on to win an election. He is picking his battles wisely, can't blame him.

Sparky, I (and im sure many others) would like to hear how your situation will be bettered or worsened by either candidate.
