Actually Obama didn't move into his grandparents house until he was going into highschool. Which was in Hawaii not Kansas. But it's not the traditional "white" household either. His grandpa was a leftist and asked commie frank marshall davis to be his mentor. He had a very socialist /communist upbringing by his whole family.

16.059 Trillion as of right now

Continuously Updated US National Debt Clock Real Time US Debt Clock, Mortgage Calculator, Loan Calculator

Oh, and come January, taxes are going to massively increase, defense is going to get a 50% cut and yeah, our embassies are burning and Iran is talking about World War. You actually have Dept of Ag agents going to schools to tell students their lunches aren't within Obama's nutritional guidelines. They actually took a turkey sandwich off a little girl and gave her chicken nuggets because nuggets were more nutritional and charged the parents for school lunch.

Then you have 716 billion taken out of Medicare to fund Obamacare which adds another 2.5 trillion to our debt. Same Obamacare which mean that 16,000 new IRS agents had to be hired to enforce it. You have new regulations on everything from the puddle in your yard (EPA says it's a navigable waterway and under their jurisdiction) to air standards (power plants are due to shut down by 2014 to comply with new regulations which means a huge chunk of our power generation is going to shut down).

Then you have his foreign policy. More troops have died in Afghanistan under his tenure than in the 8 years before. Egypt told us go fuck ourselves, Obama says we should stand against anyone who 'speaks badly of the prophet.' He didn't have time to speak with Israel but had time to go on the View, while our Ambassador was being drug through the streets, he was sleeping and then flew to LV to fundraise. I can keep going on. Now, why vote Obama?

The real question is why would I vote republican!

I am a minority. I am a Union plumber by trade. The majority of my family is "poor".

My Father put it in my head at a young age, that it made more sense to him to vote for the democratic party because it kept the family out of his pocket, although the republican party would be more beneficial to him.

Me voting for obama has nothing to do with skin color, although i will admit it was a proud day, and I did shed a tear watching a brown skinned man take oath. To be honest I voted for Hilary Clinton in the pre-lims.

Bill Clinton is really the only president I really ever stood behind, thus why i wanted to vote for hilary, and now that Barack is riding with him, I am voting for barack again..

    _____________________________

If you think about it, when clinton was in office, we were all racing, setting personal bests, fuckin mad bitches, and having a good fucking time.

The general consensus of the board is that it hasn't been shit since 2004 and thats essentially when the dems lost control...

I know im not the only democrat on the board.. but i do laugh at people who do manual labor, who think a guy like mitt romney is looking out for them. And before you say anything about barack, read back about what i said about my father. I know where i stand in society. know where you stand

So you, and you're parents vote straight dems no matter what? That's fucking stupid.

I can not stand either party. They are all fucking crooked ass liars that have so much money they will never be in touch with the real working man.

I do not know what the answer is but something has to change. I would gladly pay a few more taxes IF I knew them idiots would fix it.

Clinton was a cool guy and everyone liked him however he is the reason for the housing crash. Free money to anyone with a pulse was just a bad idea. I saw it all the time in my city. One person working at a 30k job, buying a 3000 sq ft house, and rolling two 50k cars. I also watched the crash happen in front of my face. In 06 they were finishing around 10-15 houses a week in my town. In 07 I watched all the builders in the city except one just vanish. It was crazy and they where all gone within a month.

Now, you believing someone like obama is looking out for you is hilarous. The man and his party has done more to stifle productivity and creativity than the repubs have ever hoped to. Just look at
the dept of education, with lower test scores than ever while spending more money than ever.
The dept of housing, passing reckless policies making it easy for banks to loan money to people who couldnt pay it back, nearly blowing up the financial system in the process.
The war on poverty, with the poverty rate higher now than 50 years ago when they said thissocial welfare bullshit will cure it.

You pops said it himself, he votes democrat because they pay for your family and that keeps them out of his picket. Ever wonder why your family is in that position? Ever wonder why your family, afters decades of being "poor"..... Are still poor?

You claim that they help blacks, yet more blacks are unemployed, unskilled, and living off the govt than even before desegregation.has your team done a damned thing to address that?
And im not talking about bullshit speeches and playing b ball.im talking about substantive hanges to bring blacks out of poverty and into prosperity.

Before the socialist bullshit, we were a hungry people, a hardworking people. We would bust ass and save pennies to take care of our own and our kin because no one was their to coddle them, and going to tthe govt for help was something to be ashamed of, and no man would stand for it if he could physically do work. That isnt the america of today.
Cant you see, They have trained not just your race, but a whole bunch of every race, not to hunt for their food, but to walk up to their dog dish at the first of the month and wait to be fed milk from the govt tit.

Whoever you choose to vote for is irrelevant to me, but dont go around saying te proponents of the welfare state are doing anything but fucking us.

But hey its sept 26th. Only 6 more days til these "poor" get PAID!
EXCELLENT post. You made some very good points. I think Obama is hitting at just the right time and taking advantage of his skin color and all of the people that were disgruntled with the way the repubs haandled thing the last 10 years. People are tired of the 1% controlling the money. They talk about it everyday. However, voting someone in who is going to destroy our country from the inside out isn't the answer.

Until we have Congressional term limits and a Presidential line item veto, we are just circling the drain.

All of that aside shouldn't everyone's goal, no matter what party they affiliate themselves with, be to grow the nation and help everyone prosper?

That's prosper. Thrive, grow, excel... not just live, skate by, and make it day by day.

Gays, minorities, uber rich, invesment bankers, teachers, janitors... plumbers. Whatever you may be, whatever you support, we should all at least strive to be better, right? (not the same as this "for the common good" stuff though).

Having said that do you feel we are better off than we were four years ago?

Household income has fallen 8.2% under Obama.

Sure, you can claim that he "inherited" a mess from Bush. But,

Since the economic recovery started in June 2009, household incomes are down 5.7%, the Sentier data show, and they are down more than 8% since Obama took office.

After the recovery started that number fell even further. Sense... it makes none.

The number of people in "poverty" has increased 6%

Earlier this month, the Census Bureau released its annual report showing that the number of people in poverty was nearly 3 million higher in 2011 than in 2009, an increase of 6%.
You can look at that two ways: Either the number really has increased that much, or the threshold for 'poverty' has been adjusted putting more people under the line... which really does nothing but cement this "class warfare" idea that Dems seems to love to push. Either way it's not a good situation.

You're not exactly promoting more "racing, setting personal bests, fuckin mad bitches, and having a good fucking time" by supporting the downfall of the average American.

And it's a good thing you liked Clinton so much. Our inflation adjusted incomes have slid back to the levels they were when he was in office

The average inflation-adjusted income for households in the middle 20% is now lower than it's been since 1995, the census report found.

And sure, maybe you're ok with all of that because it's not affecting you yet, but be prepared to pay more taxes to support this stuff also.

The number of people on food stamps is up more than 220,000 in the first half of this year and up almost 12 million — or 34% — from June 2009 to June 2012

I'm sure it is 16 trillion, that's why I mentioned in my previous post that the article that i posted was from august 2011.

That "bump in the road" shit just kills me. How callous and crude can a POTUS be? Those were HIS employee's, and the administration was warned about the attack 3 days before, and he did NOTHING.
