North Korea vows nuclear strike on the US

If we get into a war with North Korea it will destabilize the US and weaken us dramatically. Toss in the over 140 major cyber attacks that target key systems controlling air traffic, water, power grids coming out of China and you get a picture of what China could gain.

Most wars are fought over resources of some kind and I think China would be happy to have access to ours. If we leave the door open for China to invade, I think they will. A long hard war with North Korea would provide them with that opportunity.

Hopefully we actually do have the technology to blow it out of the sky then send one right back down their throat.. If they're dumb enough to send something our way I know even our current president would retaliate

With the amount of drugs and illegals getting into the US I think that would be the likely course of action for them. It would be totally unexpected and destabilize our government for quite a while.

I'd personally be more worried about it detonating high in the atmosphere and the resulting EMP knocking out a large percentage of the US electronics.

Much more chaos than one nuked city could cause, and more widespread affects.

My real fear is that they sneak one over (or multiple) and design a deployment device. When it's stateside they don't need ICBMs or even a long-range missle: all they need is a way to shoot it up about 1,500 feet and pop it. kinda like when you were a kid and you'd throw an M60 firecracker and time it to go off as high as possible.

I do think that would be the opening shot in any full scale war with the U.S.

Problem is our boomers are all over the world to retaliate, but if the Chinese or the Ruskies hired some backwater terrorist group as the front, then we'd be targeting the fall guy's country and not them.

Could kill our ability to make sustained war in one fell swoop, and leave us with utter chaos at home. Imagine how uncivilized our populace would be when the power goes out, and no integrated circuit tech works and realize no one is coming to turn it back on for a loooong time.

They'd win the war in a matter of hours, by letting our people do it for them.
