Oregon Community College Gunman

Didn't read the whole thread, I heard on the radio that the community there turned down hiring armed guards for the college. How many mass shootings happen in a gun free zone again; are they batting a thousand this year?

From what I understand, the college had one unarmed security guard for the campus. Remember, this place bans water guns, so you know they're out in left field.

These people want attention. They want to be known, and the media eats it up every time one of them do what they do. Another gun control law wont keep that from happening.

Want to stop it (or at least slow it way the fuck down)? Make it law for the news to not be able to report a shooter's name or show their picture. Take away the incentive.

Have one of these gun grabbers tell us HOW a new law would actually STOP this from happening. I'll be waiting...

That's kind of the idea though. We know we are never going to eradicate guns. Gun nuts will never let it happen. But what needs to happen is to get help for the people who can't differentiate between right and wrong.

That 4chan post is a perfect example of whats really wrong with our society. The people in there egging him on to do it should be held just as accountable, especially the guy who told him he should get them all in a corner and start spraying, as it sounds like that is essentially what he did.

If your main concern is someone taking your guns away, and not making sure that these things dont keep happening, then you are part of the problem, rather than part of the solution.

Of course, there were other instances of great courage at UCC, just as there were at Columbine High School and Sandy Hook Elementary School and the Aurora movie theater and the Charleston church and seemingly all the other mass shootings.

Funny there's a record killing spree in Chicago this past weekend, and not a peep from the POTUS.
