rebar (not touching existing slab), 4-5" of concrete throughout, deep sand base, 18" wide footers around the yard side.

Concrete is gonna crack, just hope it does so on the expansion lines.

We looked at pavers but decided concrete was going to be a better fit for us.

Dang Keith you're worse than me at too many projects at once. Very cool looking, can't wait to see the finished project. Our's will be going in around Feb-Mar. Not sure yet if we're doing the pool and patio/kitchen or split it up and just do one first. You can spend some serious money on these things fast.

I showed these pix to Mary and she loves the pattern. She'd love to come see it when done.

Oh you can easily fall off this bitch. They still need to come in with some back fill dirt which should cut it down to managable.

    Overlay going down

    A couple hours later.....finished

a better pic of the pattern.

Here is the dog wash drain. The true color is starting to come out. I can't wait till the sealer goes down and the real colos shows.

Tomorrow they are coming out to do the overlay on the existing porch and the rock work might start tomorrow also.

Should be okay for the dogs to walk on tomorrow but for now we have to walk them on a leash out front so they can do their thing.
