I'd be willing to bet that a Simple Green solution sprayed on with a simple/cheap chemical sprayer followed up with a 2000+psi pressure washer would do the trick

As for DIY, water and a "soft" wire brish. Not sure if they have brushes specifically for masons or not. Just be careful around the mortar joints, as you will scrub them out in no time

Not sure it's worth having someone acid washing it. I will google the acme brick cleaner stuff.

If my little power washer does work but in a little line then it would take a long ass time.

If that does make the little line, I'd suggest renting a more powerful sprayer, not try to do it all that with that little line of water. Just to prove it is a stronger stream and cleans it is all I meant to suggest.
