Just to throw in another option. The Yamaha fz09 is a lightweight triple that might be easier for you to throw your leg over. And they are $8k new.

I do miss it, but I never rode for pleasure. I bought my speedy with the intention of commuting on it but my nice truck with cold AC changed that. All of the roads around me are shit, I can't avoid them right now. 121/183 is fucked, 820 is fucked, 35 is fucked, every crossing over 820 is fucked. Hell, even the surface streets are fucked as a result of the construction. After it is done I MIGHT buy another one, but how it is looking right now I doubt I will buy another bike for me to keep. Working at that bike shop also kinda killed any bit of passion I had for motorcycles, I firmly believe that riders (especially sportbikes/stunters) happen to be one of the worst groups of people on the planet. Some of them are cool enough, but they are largely outnumbered by retarded kids, 30k millionaires, cheap motherfuckers that can't afford a motorcycle, ect. I just couldn't stand to be around any of them, much less talk to them at a gas station or ride with them.Originally posted by dsrtuckteezy View Postweak. get back on two man, and maybe avoid the shit roads??
ive been enjoying the little jaunt on fm157 between 67 and 287 lately. its a short run, but it's got a few decent turns, just have to watch out for gravel. only like two switch backs though, but it's close to me.
you know you miss it.
I also noticed a huge change in how riders are treated in DFW. On more than one occasion I have had things thrown at me or drivers try to run me out of a lane they want for no reason at all. I was one of the few riders that followed most traffic laws and never rode with anyone else. After I pulled out of DFW National Cemetery on my bike and had some cunt throw a glass bottle at me I decided it was time to sell my bike. It just isn't worth it until people change how they see bikers.
Cliff notes: I miss it, every road in FTW is shit for bikes, people hate motorcycles, I will maybe buy another when they aren't the "in" thing.Last edited by Pokulski-Blatz; 03-21-2014, 08:40 AM.

If they still have it next week when I can make it there I believe I have found the bike I want. It's an Triumph 650 Daytona... Very low miles and from the pictures it appears to be in pristine condition. I am going to try and upload a picture shortly. Thank you to whomever mentioned EuroSport...

Yep sold it less than hour after I talked to the guy! I even tried to put $$ down to hold it but they couldn't do that. I understand why now... Oh well back to searching I go

They seem to move bike fast. I bought mine a few hours after they listed it, they acted like that was normal.Originally posted by thomasblively View PostThat was fast I talked to them about noon
edit: Found it on CL. Looks like it was only about 4k. Sucks it sold so fast. Maybe a sign to go with the 3 cyl 675?

I found the bike I wanted today. Went and test rode it around and everything was great! Had financing through my local bank and was ready to finish the deal when the salesman and I heard a loud crash, followed by oh $hit that's not good. Apparently some idiot tried to set on one of the bikes further down the line and lost his balance knocking over 10+ bikes. Of course the one I was buying was last in line and took the brunt of everything. It broke the front fairing, mirror, and cracked something else. The salesman started crumbling everything up and told me he figured I wasn't interested anymore... Could this be sign I really don't need a bike?

Hopefully... That is the exact reason I always ask them to pull the bike out from in between e others before touching it. I don't ever want to be that guy! Salesman actually said it's happened before with no one around. Something about the kickstand not latching and it eventually just falls overOriginally posted by dsrtuckteezy View Postgood choice. there's plenty of those, so just keep looking.
I would think the dealership is going the fix it, so maybe you can pick it up when its repaired? (maybe even at a slight discount)
