The neck gaiter thing is a piece of crap with a full face helmet. Watch the seams on the face masks, they'll leave marks on your face for a good hour when you wear a helmet over them.

Checkin' out the thin ones now, thanks for the post!

I'm not even sure I could get the bandanna to stay on while trying to put my helmet on, it's pretty snug.

Guess i'll be keeping my hair short, full head cover = wild ass hair

get a balaclava/face mask. they help out ALOT!

you can get thin ones like this one made by under armour

or thicker ones made out of cotton

or hell you can always just carry a bandanna and wear it bank robber style, just make sure to tuck the bottom part inside of your shirt/jacket. i do that when i dont need my balaclava, even that thin layer of bandanna helps a bunch...

they also make 'neck gaiters' but i personally dont like them because they slide down when you put your helmet on and always slip down even further when you start riding and turning your head

I broke the work car so I'm stuck on the bike for a couple of weeks. I just refuse to ride in the damn snow they are talking about maybe having lol.

You are right, its not to cold, but is it ever "to cold" in Texas? LOL Seems a lot of people (not just on this forum) dont like to ride when its below 50. It really isnt bad if your geared right. Once it hits below 40 degrees, thats when I break out my winter gear.

Now that it is a little " colder " , who is still riding daily? I am .... but I forgot my non vented gloves this morning. I must admit my hands were quite chilly at 6:45 this morning.

I use to ride every day...30 miles each way. Until it was 29 deg one morning, and some jackass left the sprinklers on. Ice, a cruiser, @ 55 is a bad mix. So I decided I would not ride below 32 deg. That worked out great till I realized in the country (sort of 1171 near 35W), in the valleys (Where the jack ass left the sprinklers on) it's 5 to 9 degrees colder in the valleys and ice still forms in the valleys when the jackasses leave the sprinklers on. So I quit riding below 40 deg. Then I just got lazy in the cold, not wanting to get up 10 min. earlier to suit up for the ride. Now I hardly ever ride.
