<---doesnt ride alot this time of year. I'm too lazy to get up early enough to put on the extra gear and take it off at work. I have a 60 mile ride each way, leaving at 4am every morning. The pony is just way easier this time of year.

The true up-side to riding the bikes daily, it saves me a TON of cash on fuel and keeps the mileage on my other vehicles way down.
it's turning out the same with the srt-4 now as well. plus, the srt-4 uses premium fuel and gets less mileage while I can use 87 octane in the bike.

I wanted to drink coffee on my way to work today, so I drove the car. then with my luck was in stop and go traffic most the time and couldn't drink it since I was having to change gears so much.plus it was completely empty of gas and so I had to hope to make it to the closest station and waste time doing that.
some days I'm just way to tired to wake up early and deal with getting bundled up for the road, so I just take the car.
riding the rest of the week for sure. I def love it on Sat morns when I have to head to work and there's tons less cars on the highways, esp if I'm in a hurry.

Its never really cold if you have the right gear. As I said, there are only about two weeks worth of days all year I dont ride. I like the look on peoples faces when they stare at me when its cold or raining. I have a mirrored shield on all my helmets so they dont know Im laughing at them for giving me the "WTF is he doing" look.

I typically ride year-round - gotta love the HOV lane!!
I took the sissy way out two years ago and bought a pair of Gerbing's heated gloves - holy shit, what a great investment. The electrical system on the CBR definitely lacks the power to really heat them up, but it's leaps and bounds ahead of the hella thick winter gloves I used to wear on those cold days (say, 30's or lower).
One wonderful day in '06, I rode the 929 to work - the temp outside was in the low 20's when I left the house. Of all days to get a flat tire, that's when I got mine. I froze my balls off sitting on the shoulder in the HOV lane waiting for a friend to bring my trailer and pick me up. Abso-fucking-lutely miserable. I'm sure all the car people were chuckling at me with my helmet on, pacing in the shoulder to try and keep my blood flowing. Fuck that day! lolLast edited by TX_92_Notch; 11-18-2010, 12:10 AM.

But yes, it's freakin cold out there now. Just got in back at 11pm. I saw that it's supposed to be cold tomorrow and then warm back up through the weekend. So, I might actually drive my car in the morn and then ride Fri-Sun.

and yeah, I'll just bundle up more on my way to work in the morn. No rain, ice or snow, no problem. Just wish I had some damn glove liners by now. should've gone to cycle gear today on my day off.
one idea I have is too completely gear up before leaving and drink some coffee while in the house geared up. therefore I'll be sweating my ass off and the cold will then feel good lol.
