The safety thing was nothing more than a formality so he could impose his will on her. My motto still rings loud and true.. theres only 2 kinds of cops..... bad cops and bad cops who havent been caught on camera yet.
You know how I know youve been on the wrong side of the law before?
Good grief man. Youre like the crazy ex girlfriend who keys your car because she feels helpless at getting even any other way.
    Let me guess...possession with intent?

Possession of a dick with intent to suck?

and for the officer, a paygrade hold till he can improve his communication skills working with the public and an entry in his file.

Not sure what to think. I was always told to do what the officer said to do, even if it was not entirely legal. (with in reason) I can't help but laugh when someone thinks they have the right to give the police a hard time, but then ends up crying when they don't get their way and end up in jail.

She thought she had a good plan at first. Not so much at the end. There was really nothing to film, but it was worth going to jail over.

Either she has the right to stand in her yard and film, or she doesn't. The officer judging that she was breaking the law doesn't make it so, only the law books can do that.

All of these arguments are based on an arrest where a cop orders someone to stop doing something that they have the right to do. You say he had the right to arrest her based on him giving her an unlawful order. I say he didn't have that right. We'll see what the court decides.

she should have told him to get off her property w/o a warrant. that would have brought an end to the whole thing

I wonder if she actually said anything before she started recording or if he just made that shit up... cause he didn't notice her at first, but then all of a sudden he says she made a comment before she started recording... which implies he knew she was there the entire time... But he didn't, cause the first thing he said when he saw her was "you guys need something?" So how could she have said anything before she started recording like the officer implied?

    Doesn't make sense.

You can only give someone a lawful order in that situation if they are impeding the investigation of the crime. If that weren't the case then a police officer could just go around ordering people around for the hell of it. Seeing the video, interference is a stretch at best but you can see that grey area some cops like to use just to try to fuck with people when they get their tender feelings hurt. I am always amazed that the police will speak their mind and do whatever they want to other people but the minute someone else returns that attitude, they have the mentality of an eight year and have to retaliate in any way they think they can get away with. It is comforting that we live in the modern age and this sort of bullshit is being brought out of the closet by video cameras, it doesn't belong in this country and never has.

So just for my own education... what would have happened if she whipped out a flash light and shined it back in his face like he was hers?
