in my apt about 2.-3 years ago I swear something was in my closet. every night before bed i would shut my closet door and make sure that it was latched, but somehow it was open every morning. My dog was very aware and erie of this and would just stand on the foot of my bed staring into the closet every morning. (i have 2 jack russells and they are hardly ever scared or stay away from anything).

I brushed it off because thinking about it too much would scare the shit out of me. Fast forward a few months and my ex started staying the night with me.... I never told him about it bc i didnt want him to think i was crazy. He pointed it out to me that he noticed the door was open in the mornings after he made sure it was closed at night. I told him this had been happening since I moved in and he thought it may have just been a draft in the house. We tested this by putting a laundry basket full of clothes right in front of the door making sure it would not open on its own. (pretty heavy). In the morning the door was open. I thought it may have been my ex trying to scare the fuck out of me so I tried the exact same thing again when he didnt spend the night.... and yep, the fucking door was open!!! I have no idea how it happened or why it happened. When I tell people they dont believe me... not like i have any reason to lie about that or make that up. It hasnt happened in any of my other houses... thank God.

I’ve had a couple experiences at my parents house. My dad had a lot of old shit in his Den. He’s very much into the Civil War era and has tons of older guns, saddles, military items, etc. When I was about 13 I was watching tv in my room when my radio came on by itself. Scared me but I chalked it up to maybe the frequency from the TV remote matched the radio and that’s what made it come on. The 2nd experience was also at my parents house when I was probably 21. I always had my ceiling fan on in my room. I was in bed watching TV and the fan turned off. My parents have the older style flip light switches. (Like below) I assumed perhaps I hadn’t flipped the switch all the way and it was in the middle and then eventually went the rest of the way off. But still scared me, so I was very self conscious after that making sure the switch was flipped all the way up or down. About 2 weeks later it happened again. Watching TV and the fan turns off. This time I knew I had the light switch all the way up.
