When I was about 13, my brother and I went to the end of our street to a recently emptied house. A few months earlier the son in the house had been coming back from Quinlan to his house, riding in the back of his parent's truck holding down a mattress with his body weight. At about 70, the mattress came out and he hit 751 and made a paste. Fast forward.
His parents move out and my brother and I, after dark, decide to take our 3 wheeler down there and see if anything neat was left behind. We get there and the door is unlocked. Cool. My brother goes wandering around to the right and I am in the living room looking at the full size pool table sitting there. I heard something move behind me and turned around and there was someone who looked like the kid who got splattered just standing there.
I took off out the door, jumped the railing and kick started the 3 wheeler, flying back up the road we came. I was home a full 10 minutes before my brother who was pissed because I left him. He hadn't seen anything and wanted to know where I went and why. We didn't go back, despite the pool table and other neat stuff in there. No way.
There is a lot of spooky places in Delta county. Heck, there is even tagged sightings spots from BFRO on Google Earth around there. I was just in Ben Franklin (my Mom was born there). A lot of my Mom's side of the family live/lived around Paris, Pecan Gap, Ben Franklin, Cooper, Ratton. My MIL was born in Bugtussle. I have always wanted to go explore some of those spooky old homesteads.
haha... i read that story a few years ago before I went caving, and it definitely messed with my head a little. Bad idea to read that story, then to go into a cave with a similar entrance. LOL
My buddy on our way out of the cave through said hole.
Dude, fuck crawling through that. I'm claustrophobic. Not like "I can't be in elevators." or anything crazy like that but feeling like a turd in an rectum isn't my thing.
Lol. Yeah you find out REAL quick if you're a pussy in tight spaces in that cave. Fucking bad ass cave though, I hope to go back one day and go all the way to the end, we only made it about halfway (a mile) average height of the cave is 14 inches and opens up into big rooms about every 100 yards.
