I guess i'm one of the few who doesnt give a fuck what it does stocksince i wouldnt leave either stock... and i still think 50-70 for a camaro OR a mustang is crazy.

Real world numbers coming in at anytime now. There is someone on a dyno right now with a brand new 13 Gt500 with only a hundred miles on it. The same dyno had a stock ZL1 on it yesterday that made 465/457.

To get the same amout of power and handling in a car you would have to spend nearly $100k more! .
Again, the GT500 is a bada** ride and I wouldn't mind having one in addition to my Vette and Caddy, but it's not the second coming of sports cars or anything. It's an improved '05 Mustang platform with a heavily boosted 5.8L block at it's base.

Show me a comparison of these two cars in show room condition with the tires, tune etc exactly as they come when you buy one, then I will be impressed. All these pre release numbers are just crap. Both are incredible machines and deserve a certain amount of respect. Look how far cars have come in just the last 5 yrs.. simply incredible...

I guess it just depends on how you plan to use the Mustang or V for what would be better overall.
The Mustang fully loaded is about $10k more than the ZL1 as almost everything is standard on the ZL1. I really like the GT500, but not sure if it's worth $10k more than a ZL1. I guess it is to those that are going to buy the GT500. haha.
I'd suggest to you to watch a few of the SVT Engineers videos and read some of the articles available explaining everything. It's amazing what they have done with just a "Mustang". lol.
As for the CTS-V, not everyone is into them. I personally wouldn't want a four door for a hobby car and the two door CTS-V's look okay, but I much prefer the GT500's look over the V's.

Not on a dyno like TS in STD smoothing 3. A real dynojet using SAE correction factor smoothing 5.

sorry Chevy...
GT500 blasts from 0-60 mph in a scant 3.5 seconds, on toward a quarter-mile time of 11.6 seconds at 125.7 mph. For context, the previous GT500, which put out a relatively pedestrian 550 hp and 510 lb-ft, needed 4.1 seconds to reach 60 and 12.4 seconds at 115.8 mph to eclipse the quarter, while the aforementioned ZL1 required 3.8 and 12.1 @ 117.4, respectively. Big power equals big improvements for the GT500. But beware of that big power: get too overzealous with the throttle, and the tires will quickly resemble burnt toast. Luckily, the new GT500's obscene power is absolutely controllable.

Yeah, the tuner thing for Stangs in DFW is a lil tricky unfortunately.
