Evan Smith went 11.52 @ 129mph with a hot lapped car on stock tires. Suck it ZL1.

A better driver will get at least an 11.0. That guy's launch was shit and he lost a half second on his 1-2 shift.

Yeah and is the ZR1 suspension just for comfort? I don't think so.

The GT500 weighs less, and has more power, and has a chassis that's won more races than the camaro has. Not a bad setup for an easy win at the Ring, or in a slalom.

MR suspension is more for comfort and "ride" than actual handling.
Go to any SCCA event where a ctsv happens to be running and tell me the MR is just for comfort.
We are Talking about a suspension that reacts to climate and all road conditions and adjusts itself immediately. MR virtually eliminates body roll and pitch variation in many driving situations including cornering, accelerating, and braking.

Right now we don't know much about the gt500. It's fair to say it will rock the drag strip however with nothing over the top being done to the suspension on the car saying it will be a easy win on the ring is far fetched especially when the ford gt sits at #65 on the all time list.
I don't see a LRA mustang out doing a ford gt super car.

Who knows maybe it will until we see #'s we can only guess
