I do wonder what the 6.2 would do with a 2.3 TVS blower? Oh wait, GM already knows. It's 638 SAE rated horsepower at 10.5psi on the ZR1.
Does anyone think the LS9 couldn't crank out more than 662 SAE rated horsepower at 15psi like the GT500 is running? Me thinks an extra 4.5 psi would generate more than 24 horsepower, quite a bit more. So, that really begs the question on why the GT500 doesn't make more than 662 with it's 7,000rpm redline and 4 valve heads, etc. Does, the extra .4 of displacement make that big of a difference even with a pushrod 16 valve set-up?

Not bad. GM put a baby blower and baby camshaft in that car, so no wonder the power levels are so much lower.

For comparisons sake :
Mods including a big stall/auto - "The ZL1′s mods performed by Redline Motorsports include a larger ATI drive pulley and a smaller LPE supercharger pulley to increase boost as well as a ported blower snout. The stock LSA camshaft which has 198/216-degrees of duration and .492/.480-inches of lift was tossed in favor of a custom camshaft ground by Comp Cams which has 231/248 degrees of duration @ 50. The custom cam was mated to 7.400-inch long pushrods and Redline’s double valvesprings with titanium retainers. The stock exhaust manifolds were replaced with American Racing’s long tube headers with 1 7/8-inch primaries. Behind the headers, Redline installed an X-pipe and high-flow cats while keeping the balance of the exhaust stock. The ZL1 was also treated to a cold air intake, larger heat exchanger, a set of Injector Dynamics 98 lb/hr (at 68psi) injectors and NGK TR6 spark plugs. The car still maintains its stock 1.9 L blower, stock block and stock heads. To get the ZL1 out of the hole, it was fitted with a high stall torque converter and Mickey Thompson drag radials."

It ran a 10.10 with just the CAI/pulley/tune/exhaust and for giggles they wanted to pull out a lil weight just to see if they could get it to run 9's with the normal basic mods.
