If Ford were to produce another supercar, it would have to be something ferocious. I say that because the 'duh' would be to just compete with the ZR1, but GM has a big benefit to having the existing low-rent Corvette platform to work off of... Ford would have to compete with it and price it accordingly, which I imagine the accounting dept. would shit all over.

I wish Ford could produce a new 2 seater coupe that on the surface competes with the C6, 370z, Boxter S, BMW Z series etc, but like the Corvette has the capacity to be modified heavily and cheaply.

I really wish they'd make this one, I've personally always preferred the Daytona coupe over the GT40.

They are definitely out there. There were probably 10 of them at mid America Ford and shelby meet. Though 2 of them actually belonged to Ford still.

At least as far as a few years ago, emissions in Australia were laughable. 2002year model cobras (in Australia) had longtubes installed from the factory, if i recall.
