There is something to be said for just saying "can I pay for it? I would feel much better if you would just let me pay for it." It applies to all aspects of life, from matters of car work to chicks.

Thanks man. I'm almost done with this '57 and will be able to put it up for sale in the next week. Then I can jump back on the wagon. I want to drive it to the Thaw the first weekend of March, even if it's with no interior, etc.

Yeah, ya know, I figured what the hell, I've already spent this much time and money on it, why not make it NICE. I originally wasn't planning on painting the whole car but I'm going to go ahead and paint it. I'll get it running and driving and work the bugs out before I paint it though.
