My first GT, it's been at least 14 years since I've had a mustang.

I did too, and agreed although they look really nice ....Originally posted by Ratt View PostWhich is why I was inquiring about the gas mileage... I've also been eye-ball fucking the new BRZ/FR-S, but 200 hp is not enough.

I am sure other people might get better MPG. I am not the best when it comes to conserving. I bought it for a reason...

I'm sure I would see similar numbers, if not less. I do drive my mazda like a bat out of hell most of the time, hard acceleration, etc., which is probably part of the reason I only see ~24 MPG average. That and it runs rich as hell.Originally posted by Special K View PostI did too, and agreed although they look really nice ....

My MSM never saw 20mpg!! It was a big change from the na I traded in for it. The other thing I am not used to is the tiny tank in the mustang. My FX took 22-24 gallons!Originally posted by Ratt View PostI'm sure I would see similar numbers, if not less. My Mazdaspeed holds 14, light comes on at 10 (go figure). That means on average with my 50 mile round trip commute I'm filling up my car every 4-5 work days. We drive my wife's mini on the weekends to save gas, that fucker gets like, 35 MPG AVERAGE.Originally posted by Special K View PostMy MSM never saw 20mpg!! I see 16.5 over longer ranges, almost all city driving. I have not taken any trips, but on short highway usage, it shows 23mpg at 75 or so. I seldom drive that slow unless Matt and his brethren make me.

My prelude that I bought after the MSM would get 29mpg. That thing sipped gas, I loved it. The MSM got shit mileage and had a tiny tank, I think it was 12. I commuted from 820/121 to downtown Dallas everyday.Originally posted by Ratt View PostMy Mazdaspeed holds 14, light comes on at 10 (go figure). Damn you must have had to fill up every two or three days. Do you still have those pictures you posted a long time ago with your dog in the car? LOL it barely fit in that thing.Originally posted by Special K View PostMy prelude that I bought after the MSM would get 29mpg. That thing sipped gas, I loved it. Dude, come on.Originally posted by dville_gt View Postjeez, i didn't realize the new 5.0's were that bad. our pushrod 6.2 liter ls3 averages 24 mixed and see's ~30 pure highway and i heard the ls2's were even a little better (albeit down 35 hp).
