My first thought as well. I'm sure bringing home a new car and not having a garage to park it in is a common thing, but it's still ridiculous.

It doesn't really look like rust to me, but if you say it is, then take it down to the dealer. The car still has a warranty, right? You bought an assembly-line FORD, not a handcrafted Bugatti. There are going to be defects.

When you visit your dealer, I suggest telling them you are "concerned" and not:

Yep, I believe its lifetime on corrosion resistance. Or 100k miles, better hurry though, your ass will be out of warranty by this time next year.

At first look, it doesn't look like rust. Can you wipe it clean, and take a pic of the rust spot instead of the dust/dirt that is being claimed as rust?
