Car you've hated the most?

I've liked all my cars, but the wife had an '03 Jeep Liberty that I hated. Every fucking window regulator broke and I had to replace them with aftermarket metal ones. Interior started falling apart too, cheap plastic stuff breaking all over. The drivetrain was reliable enough but the rest of it was shit.

And my was positive ground, which I guess would make it the king of darkness. I carried a spare battery with me everywhere I went.Originally posted by JP135 View PostLucas negative ground: 'The Prince Of Darkness'.
Old Triumph motorcycles were the same way. Beautiful and completely unreliable.
Shit, don't even get me started on those. I bought one that "just had a warped cylinder head". Turns out that if you have a warped cylinder head on those, the ONLY option is to put a new one (or unsurfaced one) on it. And, conveniently, there are none to be had.Originally posted by JP135 View PostSame story with my HS buddy's TR7.

One of my buddies in high school had a Triumph Spitfire...I remember helping push that car more than I recall actually riding in it.Originally posted by JP135 View PostLucas negative ground: 'The Prince Of Darkness'.

This piece of Donkey Shit right here! Only thing it had going for it was that it was pretty fast for it's day. Only car I've ever owned that I avoided driving because I was afraid of what would break next. It sat parked while for sale, and some dude flew in from Florida to buy it...it actually shit the AC compressor (in July) on the way to pick him up from the airport!!

If I saw this car on fire and I was holding a water hose....I'd find some grass or flowers to water instead.Last edited by Rreemo; 04-11-2013, 10:07 AM.

I had a 91 escort gt, got it for free with a fucked transmission, sold it to a scrap yard for 100 bucks.Originally posted by CWO View PostI had one of these for a few days
I must have been drinking a lot more back then because I can't remember where or why I bought it, barely remember selling it to Dolomite for like $500.
this isn't/wasn't mine

I ended up selling it to a junk yard (for $500) and getting a corolla.

Yep, that was the last straw on that damned thing. I narrowed down to something internal, or the wrong flywheel on it, but I sure as shit wasn't going to pull the transmission to find it. I sold it for $1200, then about a month later I got a call from the Dallas police impound telling me that it was towed. I didn't want it back.

Probably my svt focus or my Durango r/t. The focus served its purpose, got decent mileage, but I just hated being in a small car that had jackshit for horsepower and was wrong wheel drive.
I bought the Durango while in Colorado because I wanted a cheap 4x4. It has been anything but. Mileage sucks balls, literally get 12mpg in mixed driving. Not to mention that I have put a ton of $ into repairs and have grown to truly hate Dodge products. For Christ's sake, the brake calipers are held on with torx screws that are damn near inaccessible.
If the goal of the government is public transportation, they should give a Dodge to everyone. After a year with a Dodge, everyone will gladly hop on a bus.

My big block '87 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Which is funny, since it is my namesake on this and other boards.
It was slow (7.99 @ 86 is all I ever got out of it) and I had to work on it all the time. The engine didn't fit worth a shit and it ran hot. It had manual steering and front runners so it really wasn't any good on the street. It was just a big, heavy turd that wasn't any fun to drive. I hated it when I bought it, worked on it a ton, drove it a handful of times, then sold it for a ridiculous loss - and was glad to see it go. Vaya con dios. I think Pro Trash has (or had) the car out in the Cedar Creek area. Hopefully he's had more fun with it than I ever did.

2000 Dakota R/T.
One Motor, Two Trans, Entire Steering Including Box, and one ring and pinion in 2 years of ownership. And the whole damn thing rattled.
