    It looks like some pretty severe detonation to me, which eventually completely destroyed a couple of pistons. It can happen with overheat and continued high RPM use.

    Only time ive seen a n/a ls do that...guy was making a topspeed run...and it went lean. Bad fuel pump, clogged filter, low on gas...any number of reasons. If battery died..alt might have taken a shit, then voltage drops...bam.

    Throw it in my pile of blown up car parts to be hauled off to the scrapper. I've got CV axles, transmission pieces, rims, ls2 pieces, mini cooper parts, etc. Might as well get some LSXXX in there

    Looking at the condition of the motor (dirt, leaves, etc) I would guess that poor maintenance contributed to the engine's demise.

    much like mod motors some ls motor have heat issues with the rear cylinders. i bet that caused it
