The next time I get stopped for speeding, I am going to let cop know that I was only doing it because I learned on dfwmustangs, which is an authority on all things, that as long as I am in the left lane, I should be doing at least 85 and that the right lane is where the inconsiderate slow pokes who drive less than 10 over the limit belong. I think he will be okay with that and send me on my way with a smile.

I just ride the rumble strips while tail gaiting them. It usually startles them and they move over because those fuckers make a lot of noise.

I signal when I already have an opening just to inform them of my intentions. If they are being an ass parked in the left lane, playing on their phone, and I see it, I'll slide over right off their front bumper, wake them up, and then leave my right signal on for several seconds as I accelerate ahead of them.

I love the mentality of the idiots blaming the people driving in the left lane for this guy's inability to drive his car.

I could of sworn that I researched this and that is fact, which most people do not realize and it's a way traffic lawyers earn their money too.Originally posted by racrguy View PostThe sign says speed limit, the law says reasonable and prudent. Therefore if traffic is moving at X speed, it's more often than not reasonable and prudent to move with the flow of traffic.
With that said, I could have pulled off that move with my Honda Accord. I'd probably wreck too if I had a fart can on it though, too much power.

You're not alone, Keith. My old lady can't grasp this concept whatsoever.Originally posted by kbscobravert View PostI am just going to apologize for my wife's driving to you guys. Yep, she is the one you are complaining about. I have tried everything short of hitting her because I don't do well in a prison environment. So sorry

You are missing the point. Even if it is the limit, and is unlawful to go faster it is not up to you to limit the person who wants to go faster. That's not your call, nor should you try and stop those who want to go faster. If you want to do the limit then by all means, do so. You encounter someone who wants to go faster, get over and let them go. It really is not all that difficult a concept. If you do try and control other drivers you are actually causing more of a hazard than those who speed.Originally posted by Big Dad View PostThe sign says "SPEED LIMIT" ..
The absolute truth. Those who do not speed feel they are in a comfy zone where they can diddle with everything under the sun except for maintaining their lane. Those who are speeding are more likely to pay attention to all four corners of their vehicle.Originally posted by Cooter View PostEverybody I know who turtles along can't drive for shit. Most people I know who drive above the limit are move involved drivers w/ better skill. People who know how to correct a skid, have better understanding of grip limits in emergency braking/cornering/etc.
Inattentiveness is the leading cause of crashes yet it seems like we are still hung up on those who speed being the demon killers behind the wheel.Originally posted by inline 6 View PostSpeed limit drivers are more dangerous than speeders. I've fucking heard it all now

That's when the turn signal becomes more of a courtesy than you requesting permission to get over.Originally posted by quikag View PostAnd that is exactly why I like having a 580ishhp CTS-V. If I decide I'm going to get in front of someone parked in the left lane, there is a 99.9% chance it's going to happen.
