That looks INCREDIBLY painful. She must have some very weak joints. =/
It was a rehab facility, story was she was in a leg press machine with a loose seat. She wasnt paralyzed, but they had to amputate due to the damage.

Why amputate? You'd think a full knee replacement would take care of it.

Me too. Hopefully its not true. Doesn't seem like they'd amputate over that, it happened to that one boxer and his leg didn't get amputated.

Poor girl. That made me cringe and feel icky inside which is strange since I am a sadist.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

Don't believe that for a second.

Ouch...someone at that rehab facility has got some explaining to do.
I hate seeing people lockout or even going too deep on the leg press.

                    ACL/MCL/patellar damage.

No shit? I cross my arms over my chest and bring my thighs to my arms. Probably a bit too low.

Yeah. When you get too deep, you unload the quads and put that weight heavily into your lower back and hamstrings. There's a lot of strain to get the quads back into the lift: it's why I don't like going super deep on squats either.

At your height, you're damn near super deep when you start

                            You are probably fine then.
As long as your butt isn't lifting up, you're all good.
The key is to keep the weight off your lower back.

all the leg presses i've used have been inclined, seems like it would be hard to have that kind of scenario when your legs are going at an angle versus straight.

You'd be surprised. My most recent injury was just that. Crimping that ass too hard on my last rep roasted my lower back
