i agree s2k motors sound pretty bad. muffler in the form of a turbo helps some.

i have a buddy with a very clean supercharged s2k and he keeps stock due to the sound of aftermarket exhausts.

Floppy sidewalls don't corner. He could have bought some 555RII's and had a car that would turn well.

F1 cars do have relatively high sidewalls...they run 13" rims afterall. Obviously hes chosed form over function...so id guess that explains his tire choice.

So this actually started as someone else's concept. The top one is a rendering and is intended to be mid engined (v8), but i don't think he has started building it yet.

This guy ran with the concept and started building, albeit a front engine i4.

overall the car is cool... it's unique... it's home built... obviously by enthusiasts... obviously without an unlimited budget

It looks like the radiator is in the back, so they are there for cooling. Could have radiused the corners and been much sexier.

The side scoops dicating half-doors looks like an unnecessary PITA to me though.

I tend to agree. Even though functionality > fashion. It would have taken quite a bit of more work, but a functional side scoop could have been integrated into a fully working door following the bead/body line at the top and would have even increase the amount of scoop. Little engineering, sure, but could have been done.

Other than that. HELL YES! I'll take one in BLACK!
