Today: First start of a G855-E. Trying to diagnose a fan drive interference we had 4-5 people around the front of the engine.
Engine cranks, oil pressure builds in <1 sec, and proceeds to blow a thermocouple out of the oil filter head.

The stream of 5w40 shot 20-25 ft (didn't hit one person), through a door, and all F'ing over someone's Accord parked outside.

Had that happen on a few MTUs with some pumpdown units. I think they went through a few buckets of Royal Purple that day. Ended up being the filter head was slightly out of round and wouldn't create a good seal.
