I've had my '96 hardtop since new and the hatch rattles on some larger bumps on the road. It's no different than the '66 Chevy P/U I started driving in 1986. Congrats on the Impy. If you keep the LT1 then Advanced Induction has good h/c packages.Originally posted by JC316 View PostIt's not just the rattles. My car lot and my sisters place are both down a shitty county road. I've seen off road only trails that are smoother than this. Trans am just kicked my ass going down them.
no there a#1!Originally posted by slowturbocar View PostLmao t-top or not there still junk no matter what motor is in them....

You'd be surprised. I had one a month or so ago that was in excellent shape for 7k. But where a lot of them are (over) priced, especially the GXPs, you should just go for an '09+ V.Originally posted by JC316 View PostOut of my price range and I'm not a huge fan of the looks. Would have gone for a CTS-V first. The Impala is nothing something that you see every day and I've always loved it's looks.
Also have a 69 buick lesabre convertible, and I have had a personal war with myself over the last two years, considered turning her into a daily. Since they're both B bodies, I can have my cake and eat it too.
Nice score though, I've always liked those cars despite having a deep hate for the LT1.Originally posted by BuzzoSome dudes jump out of airplanes, I fuck hookers without condoms.

Yep. Just another $100 to it.Originally posted by s1lv3r View PostDon't forget the ABS reluctor is on the gears on these cars too.
Rattles don't really bother me all that much, especially when they can be fixed. There isn't jack that you can do about an Fbody's ride quality.Originally posted by Fatass View PostAny vehicle driven on north texas roads is going to rattle eventually.

Hell, anything with a t56 would work IMOOriginally posted by ram57ta View PostNeeds an LS7/T56
That kills me man. Lowered a touch even on factory wheels is fantastic.Originally posted by Torinoman View PostNice car OP. I've had a thing for those too. But I always see them ragged out sitting on 24 inch wheels. Just ruins the car
This.
Do it.

Decent price, I normally see them in the 15k range. I also have a deep hate for the LT1, the Imp is the only LT1 based car that I would own.Originally posted by crapstang View PostYou'd be surprised. Would be awesome, but I have a hard time hacking up a car with such a limited production.Originally posted by ram57ta View PostNeeds an LS7/T56
God I know. The 24's and the retarded ass metal steering wheel.Originally posted by Torinoman View PostNice car OP. I've had a thing for those too. But I always see them ragged out sitting on 24 inch wheels. Just ruins the car

These cars were perfection from the factory. The only car that I wouldn't change a thing on.Originally posted by HarrisonTX View PostThat kills me man. Lowered a touch even on factory wheels is fantastic.

Old cheap muscle car = ragged. The drive line is solid on this one, but I think I am going to refurbish the whole suspension.Originally posted by Blandnuts View PostI'd pimp it. When I was looking for one, they were always ragged out.

Are you the one that had the 10 second SS? I'm not ruling out a T56 swap, but I am not there yet. Main things on my hit list are suspension and interior. After that, I am sure the modder in me will take over.Originally posted by Grimpala View PostWelcome to the club. The best thing I ever did to mine was put the T-56 in it. Well, that, the 4,56 gears and a big ass stroker.
