Well, my second lowrider show, and my second bust! The organizer told me they added some alternate categories so that I would have some classes to compete in. It was interesting to see some of the builds that got awards in those categories. Not sure if it is intentional snubbing, a dig at me, or what, but I won't enter another one. I just don't build to their style!
My wife and I enjoyed walking through Deep Ellum, and I think I may have spotted Elvis (the board member) in there checking out the scale lowriders.

If anyone is looking for something to do this afternoon, I will be at the Deep Ellum Art Co. For a model show. This is a lowrider show, sooooooo.

That's a wild color choice. You going to keep it satin or add gloss?

Well, I changed up the interior and went with steel colored wheels.

And huge, and out of focus...
Trying to decide on wheel color now.
The gold ties the interior into it, but I like the darker steel color. Now, I've got to decide if I keep the interior and use the gold, which feels a little toyish. Or do I change the interior to a medium gray and use the darker wheels.....

Throwing this in the mix. Hoping I can finish it up curbside for the show Saturday and then finish the engine and chassis for the show on Saturday.

The engine is now resting in its home. It took some shoehorning, but it is in there! Those ITB's look killer! Overall, the engine is a little big for the engine bay. I wish it were sitting forward a little more, but it just wasn't possible.
Hoping to finish this up for a show at deep ellum brewing company this Saturday

Wheels are on! It feels good when the stance gets dialed in perfectly!
