I've been doing this off and on for about four years. The whole time I haven't wanted to cut AT ALL. I lift heavy to get big and when I'm big enough, (I keep wanting to get bigger) I'll cut. Most guys try to bulk then cut to realize they're not as big as they want to be, and the cycle starts all over again. I don't mind being heavy until I'm as big as I want to be. I saw the weights at your house and as long as you keep lifting them, size will come.

    • Haven't updated in a while so here goes it. Still working hard and doing my thing. I cut all the way down to 214# but felt weak and just out of it. Since then I have changed things up a bit and I am sitting at 224# so thats 103# of fat gone. I am putting on muscle and starting to fill out a bit. Can start to see some of the muscle that has been hiding behind the loose skin finally. I have a long way to go, but I have to respect how far I have come in the last 10 1/2 months. Anyway here's progress pics

      ^ the look of excitement

      ^ taking shape somewhat

^ still cap guns, but pretty solid now

      • Awesome progress R1, keep it up!

Very motivational indeed, I'm finally back in the gym after a 2-year hiatus, that was preceeded by a severe leg injury back in '08 that started a downward spiral of it's own.

I haven't weighed myself in forever for various reasons, but plumped up to a 38" waist, which I suppose isn't back considering that lack of activity and horrific diet for the last few years. In a little over a month I'm now wearing a loose 36", and should hopefully be back in my 34"s in another couple months.

Slow and steady this go 'round, I'm jut happy to be getting healthy again, and honestly don't care about being the biggest or strongest any more. Perhaps that'll change down the road, but for now I'm content with slow progress, and if I never see my abs again so be it.

haha you assholes. Its the lighting, and the fact that in the first pic I had just finished a job that had me constantly outside in the sun. I'm not as black as before.

Thanks. Lots of hard work, especially being OTR. I've just learned to pack all my meals and not eat out.

I cannot stress enough to people that preparation is the key to success!

                              • Tonight is my 1 year mark. I'm sitting at 207# for a total of 120# of fat gone. I'm excited to see what this next year will bring me. I'm hoping to get back up in the 225-230 range the right way.
