I don't think there is any way Jon Snow is dead. One give away to me is the fact that there is no other character in the night's watch that has been developed to the point where we give a shit about them as viewers. Sam is now gone, the only other character is Tormund and he is a wildling.

There is only one scenario where it makes sense for Jon to die in such a superficial manner. That situation is one where the dead army just rolls over the wall and wipes out the watch, killing everyone. That is certainly possible. But I think it is more likely that sweet tits priestess and Davos somehow save him and they flee the wall right before the dead get there. Sugar tits will want him for his king's blood.

eh, just cause they said Jon is dead doesn't mean he doesn't come back as some non-Jon type thing.

If you know who is parents are, I feel like he has an important role in story still.

I'm cool with it. It's an interesting idea either way. I haven't seen the Dan/David statement on that. Link?

i don't read the books but if it's jon snow you are referring to, then, yea. it's no coincidence Melisandre was trying to jump his bones, talks about his kings blood, and shows back up.

Dan Weiss and David Nutter both have said in interviews that Jon is dead. The speculation and theories come from George Martin's ambiguous answer about death isn't necessarily permanent in the GoT universe. Just like they didn't resurrect Catelyn Stark into Lady Stonehart on the show, they probably won't do it for Jon. Even if he did warg into Ghost, he's still not going to have any real role on the show.

Amazing episode though. It's good to see that the constant for this show remains: No one is safe.

Quite a head count for the finale, they are going to run out of warring armies if they keep this up. It will be the walkers taking over empty kingdoms.
