How did we get through this thread with no mention of Casey Donahew Band? These guys put on a really good show and Casey is a very nice guy.

Aaron Watson has been getting a lot of playing time on our local station, most notably this song which is another knock out for him.

Speaking of put of the ordinary. Look up mule time on youtube by AJ and the whiskey rebellion. Owner of the bar/venue I used to run is good friends with AJ Vallejo, front man for the Austin group Vallejo. He produces a lot of stuff for texas artists. It is a song that he put together to help promote the Drunken Mule in commerce, he came up a couple of weeks ago and shot the video and put on a free show

This was on the radio this morning when I was headed to work, this song always gets a laugh.

And Bingham has some really good tunes out there.

Song that was playing as I pulled into work this morning. Some Bingham, windows down and cool air made for a somber drive in....

Some of Corb Lund's newer stuff and Max Stalling are some of my current favorites.

Here is another thats pretty good despite that Pat Green gets a lot of shit for going Nashville. I really like the song since it's kinda a "things to do" list of Texas and I can luckily say that I have done most.

I have yet to see bleu put on a bad show. He played for us about 6 times before I left the venue. He was always a blast to party with!

I think it's the sound difference of the two bands. While not huge there is definatly a difference there. I never cared much for ragweed, people calling them ccr always rubbed me wrong.

I try to make the small shows. Hanks, the mule barn, and the point on lake texoma have been my favorite spots so far. Though I may try to make it more to the capital bar before it gets too hot for the Ranch's Wednesday night thing

He is a very talented musician and song writer. It will take time for his new stuff to catch on, although one of our local radio stations have been playing his stuff.

One of the best shows I have been to was Rogers and Bowen acoustic, "Hold My Beer and Watch This Tour"

Some the best stuff I've seen is when he and other guys get up and play stuff either as a group or acoustic. Him and Boland were good as well as Stoney and Edmondson. The Rogers/Bowen acoustic show was bad ass they played a gig up here but the shitty part was they played on a Tuesday night.

Rhyder is still in my rotation. I have about 200 songs on an SD card in my truck that I probably have not updated in 2-3 years, still have not gotten tired of them!
Local paper had an article about Aaron Watson that was pretty neat said he never wants to get to big for the bar stuff that way people can still dance and have a good time.
