I don't care who you are this is like a Texas anthem.

As much as this is. It's like a "To Do List of Texas" if I've ever seen one.

I know we've already had the Brandon Rhyder discussion but this needed to be posted just because if you can do it acoustic as good as album it warrants repost.

BTW how can I not love a singer that loves to hunt and fish as much as I do.

Hard to downfall a band which the lead guitar uses a violin bow with guitar and it sounds good.

The band opening tonight had a very good sound, Jeff Hobbs and the Jacks, I've never heard of them but they put a good show on.

I didn't realize the lead singer damn near died last month glad he pulled through.

These guys put on a good show and have some really good sound.

If you have a chance to catch a Seth James show he has a great sound, he now plays lead guitar for the Departed but does vocals on a few songs. He wrote this song and performs it for the band, as a local to this area I've had the pleasure of seeing him a few times. Rivals Ryder and Bowen in voice sound IMO.

Wade Bowen is one of my favorites, music just relaxes me. Roger Creager puts on one of the best shows, Casey Donahew is rising, Aaron Watson is great when you want to take a girl dancing, all Stoney to me sounds alike, Paul Eason is another just to sit back and relax to, Randy Rogers is always good and pretty entertaining, Rhyder has one heck of a voice, The Departed are great live but suck ass on CD, Curtis Grimes is another up and comer, Jamie Richards is good but pretty damn depressing, and Max Stalling, Owen Temple, and Mark David Manders are just some good old fashion Texas country. Used to go to a lot of concerts but got too busy and tired of crowds.

Used to party with Ben Danaher, not a bad singer himself, whose older brother plays guitar for Frat Green. You always knew that guy was going to be a sellout.

I won't see Stoney again unless he puts out some new music.

saw Stoney Larue last night at Red and Barneys Backyard in Bridgeport. pretty cool place since it was basically all outdoor.

it was their grand opening so i think some of the breaks between artists and start time were a little off. beer was pricey at $4 a can . the opener Blackjack Billy put on a good show and had a kind of southern rock meets country sound. i'd like to see where they go as they are a new band.

Stoney sounded great but his show was boring. there was no real show to it..he didnt interact with the crowd really at all while we were there. in fact we got bored with him at left about 6 songs in.

We heard the same things before he came and played for us when I was running a venue in Commerce. He turned out to be one of the cooler laid back artists. Him and the rest of his band partied with us until 3 AM. He even went out of his way to listen to a couple of songs I wrote and give me some feedback. I will agree that a lot of venues are overselling shows and killing the experience. However, the bands are asking ever increasing guarantees, and venues can either raise prices, oversell their capacity, or not have the acts

He has always put on a good show up here, even has been found out in the crowd watching the opening act play. Seemed pretty nice talking to after a show visited for about 20min.
