Sorry guys, I was a bit busy today. $55 includes the pictures. What isnt included was covered in my other post. The State wants $140 if you have no execptions, and $10 for you to go get fingerprints. Basicall that $150 is what you are going to pay no matter what. You can go to any CHL class in the state, and then you still pay that extra $150.

No, you have to submitt two passport size, format, style, etc. photos along with your paperwork. 99% of the classes include these in the price of their class.

Sign up for class for $55, bring $55 cash, a handgun, 50rnds of handgun ammo, hearing and eye protection, a pen and note pad. Everything beside fingerprints is done in the class, they will walk you through the paperwork, take your pictures, give you the class, put you on the range, test you and give you a CHL100 that says you either passed or failed. Go get your fingerprints done, they will tell you where to go, mail your pictures, application, fingerprints, and chl100 along with a check for $140 to the state of Texas and wait.

The only way you can get it done for cheaper than a $55 class is if you are getting a free class. If any other instructor tells you differently I guess you will learn an expensive lesson.

These Fees HAVE TO BE PAID no matter what any instructor tells you

Standard $140.00 Everyone that does not have one of the lower exceptions
Senior Citizen (60 or older) $70.00
    Indigent.$70.00
    Active or Retired Peace Officer.$25.00
    Active or Retired Judicial Officer..$25.00
    Retired Federal Officer.$25.00
    Felony Prosecutor .$0.00
Other Prosecutor (not prosecuting felony cases) $140.00
    Active Military .$0.00
    Veteran .$70.00

Those are ontop of the class. If you are going to take a class that advertises a one stop shop for $140 you still HAVE TO PAY THE ABOVE AMOUNTS. Take those numbers and add $55 to which ever applies to you. You can not beat this deal Chopped is offering.

+$140 or less for your application to the state. Depends on where you fall under the discounts or not.

The term passport photo is the format of the picture required for you to get a license with,,,,,,you guessed it, your picture. Your head needs to be a certain size in the picture. Ever put driver licenses together and all the heads are in about the same spot, that is a passport photo format.
ehh nevermind. I can get the whole thing done for $140.

I'd be interested, and could probably bring another three or four with me depending on when the class is.

We make sure your CHL-100 and CHL-6 are filled out before you leave. It used to be a one stop shop. Fingerprints, Paperwork, everything you need, but the State does not want it that way anymore.
