x2. Not in a million years CJ. Myself and others wont let you do that.Originally posted by bobs94formula View PostThat is not realistic for you CJ, nor would we expect you to do something like that. IMHO if they would have come back and said "Look our costs have increased, so we need to go up on the price $XX.XX" most of us would have been happy to pay the difference. I'd rather have to go pay full price somewhere else, than to see you pony up the difference to them.
My vote is for Chuck Ross at RossGunWorks. Hell of a nice guy, knowledgeable and a perfectionist. See post# 423

Interesting. I've had nothing but great customer service from them thus far.Originally posted by bigmuskie View PostDS Arms. Midlength fluted. Supposedly it was on hold because of the forward assist.Originally posted by JesterEvery time you see the fucking guy....show him your fucking dick.. that does happen with DSArms - I ordered 5 uppers from them and received them in a week, but waited 2 months for the carry handles, lol. They are a very high volume (probably the highest) vendor and they do run into supply chain issues. the good part about DSArms is when you place an order, you do get your product for the amount you originally paid. And it's a quality product.Originally posted by bigmuskie View PostFriend of mine has been waiting 3 months for his upper, and he's still waiting."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

If this were to happen I am sure that the members here would reverse their opinion of them. Furthermore I would hope they return to placing their orders for their ancillary parts and pieces with SAA.Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View PostBut again - as a show of good faith and excellent customer service - honor our small order of AR15 lowers and part's kits and gain a ton of loyal customers. And you know what? If it's just not realistic to honor the pricing you gave us initially, then I'll personally cover the difference if we can come to a slightly higher place, and meet me in the middle. Let's work something out.
CJ you should not be on the hook for any extra. See if they will meet us on common terms we can all agree on.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I don't whats up, my first upper I ordered from them was here in like a week. the last two orders I placed took around 10 days, which to me is too long. Maybe I shouldn't expect them to ship as fast as Midway or Rainier, or maybe I'm spoiled to Jegs I don't know.Originally posted by motoman View PostI've ordered 3 different uppers through DSArms and they've made it to my doorstep within 10 days of making the initial purchase online and that was with their standard shipping. I don't know of anyone shipping faster than them.

We have a few other vendors that seem to be willing to step up and possibly honor the prices SAA originally quoted. Hopefully I can work something out, but the chances are slim seeing as SAA really has (had) some good prices.
Well, this has been a stressful evening. I have a date with a whiskey and cigar, and I don't drink, haha."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

see my post above. That isn't uncommon for them to do that.Originally posted by bigshoe View PostI don't whats up, my first upper I ordered from them was here in like a week. the last two orders I placed took around 10 days, which to me is too long. Maybe we have the same friend lol, Mine ordered his the day after Thanksgiving, they kept saying 2 weeks, he finally cancelled the order a few weeks ago. It was one of their $265 mid length fluted barrel deals.Originally posted by bigmuskie View PostFriend of mine has been waiting 3 months for his upper, and he's still waiting.

Please don't take me bitching as a bash towards them, I'm probably way more impatient than I should be, and I have had zero issues with anything Ive every got from them, whereas I broke the end off a upper from Surplus ammo upper taking the barrel nut off.Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View Postsee my post above. LOL. Yep, that's what he ordered also. I'm sure if your friend had asked what the hold up was, they would've said the forward assist. Told buddy of mine to just cancel also, but he said no and that he would wait. I feel bad for him because it's his first AR.Originally posted by bigshoe View PostMaybe we have the same friend lol, Mine ordered his the day after Thanksgiving, they kept saying 2 weeks, he finally cancelled the order a few weeks ago. I'm sure he'll eventually get it. The last he heard was that it would ship this week, still nothing. He's still coming out ahead with the cheapest (to him) assembled AR, his good friend (me), bought him his BCG, stock, charging handle and buffer assembly, so he doesn't seem too upset about the whole DSArms ordeal.Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View Postthat does happen with DSArms - I ordered 5 uppers from them and received them in a week, but waited 2 months for the carry handles, lol. I'll try to be as courteous as I can, because it seems the gauntlet has been thrown down and you've been challenged to showcase what kind of customer service your business can provide. I'd hate for you to blame me when you can't come through.
Yet you send a diatribe full of incendiary remarks and name-calling?Originally posted by SAAsales View PostI'm not here to flame that guy
So you knew he made a large purchase last year, but didn't think he'd be placing an order this year when he inquired about pricing? You knew this was a group buy, and still have the attitude you do? (more on that later).*He mentioned last year's large purchase and being "interested in making another purchase" but no time frame, no commitment, no details beyond that. *In response to this email my guy Gary emailed him the then current wholesale price list on Jan. 17th.
March 15th *This is the first attempt at a commitment to an order,
That's where you are wrong. You have a voice. You are free to say whatever you'd like. You are free to enlighten us and provide all the facts you want to back up your claims/assertions. None of that matters if you can't provide REASONABLE answers. To expand on that, none of your answers, reasonable or not, matter one iota if you get on message boards and start name-calling like a child and attempt to belittle people. Remember, WE are the little guy in the situation, but we do pay your bills. Everyone can see how you're crapping on someone IN PUBLIC and can pass that along with the word to never use your business again. Does that hurt you? As long as you're making cheap parts, probably not, but you never know with the number of companies building lowers nowadays.*They made a big mistake and are now shifting all blame on us because they think that we have no voice and they are in friendly territory.
Really? You've sold the ENTIRE production for 2012 before mid-March? Really? Whose fault is that? That would be YOURS, although, it's probably a petty attempt at making more money. "Ooops, we sold out of wholesale, but you can buy at retail pricing." So what if you don't honor pricing for 100 people, you can still make your money off of everyone else while "verbally" shitting on a few of these 100 online. What he was told was that we've sold the entire year's wholesale production of these lowers already. Not parsing terms, what he was told was in reference to the numerical volume of units sold. Wholesale customers had been sending in their purchase orders (PO's) until we had sold the year's production, at which point we stopped accepting new PO's.
What scary, unique time would that be? You mean in an election year, that happens every four years? You mean when Obama is running for office, like he did four years ago? The last time I checked, there is a Democrat in EVERY presidential race. So much for scary and unique. Great job with fear-mongering, I hear it helps drive demand and pricing up. You would never do that though, right? These are the big, fun numbers a manufacturer deals with in a scary, unique time like this. If he had his PO in line and in time then this problem wouldn't have happened.
Oh, I guess I was wrong. You are good at fear-mongering. How many times do you use the term "scary" when talking about the election? The scariest part is that we're screwed with whoever gets the job, not with our gun rights. Ok, so let me get this straight... you saw these kinds of problems with the election 4 years ago, and YOU FAILED TO ACT to prevent this situation again. Whose fault is that. It's YOURS, AGAIN.Two, whole, months. *In this industry as a scary presidential election is looming and we're seeing order volume not seen since the last pres. election buying panic a lot can and has happened in two months time.
Oh, for the love of God. NO ONE COULD PREDICT THIS WOULD HAPPEN, OR WHEN??? No one knew that the election was coming up? No one? You just said this happened last election. GET YOUR STORY STRAIGHT. No one played "fast and loose" with our money. They didn't go to Vegas and blow it all on the Craps table or hookers and blow (you're welcome, DFWM). They were doing what WE ASKED FOR. We wanted to have a group buy and group build parties. They were doing our bidding, nothing more, nothing less. The only true thing in this whole quote is that you are not unique. You either manufacture shortages to drive up demand and pricing, or you're not bright enough to see it coming. Either way, that's YOUR fault. This is happening everywhere in the industry, we are not unique. Maybe they couldn't predict this or at least couldn't predict when. Well, they obviously didn't. What they did do was play fast and loose with your money and time, and our reputation, spending many things that don't belong to them.
We NEED nothing. We WANTED to spend our money with you to purchase gun parts. No more, there are too many people out there who will gladly take our money and provide some semblance of customer service. These guys haven't let down a single one of us, you have. You don't honor the pricing you offer. If you KNEW parts were flying off the shelves and they wouldn't last long, why didn't you offer TWO quotes, or keep customers updated? Again, it's because you don't care about customer service or keeping people happy. You know that the parts will sell, and screw the little guy, as evidenced by more "flaming" that you said you weren't here to do. If this is a half-ass group buy, please tell us what we're doing so wrong. I've been in merchandising before, and I'm sure there are a lot of people on this forum who are currently involved in it, or some other facet of business that requires it. A good merchandiser knows what promotions/holidays/events are coming up and orders accordingly. So, now this guy is throwing us under the bus for his assumption and his mistake? *He presumed a static option and that it would be available until he got around to needing it. *He secured nothing. *And because of his mistake he's let down everyone on your local forum so he trashes our good name and let the repercussions be damned, truly a class act.* They made a mistake, presumed all was well and could half-ass a group buy. *They got bit by their laziness and rather than do the honorable thing, they've lied. *However much of our business it kills is just bonus to them, vengeance for the little they've lost.
Ok, so you've done group buys before, but can't for the life of you figure out why it took 2 months to get everything in order from 2 different websites plus friends/family, parts decided on, and money sent in, collected, and double-checked? You've done group buys before but are so willing to call out the very people who put them together and do all the legwork and behind the scenes stuff to try and make it run smoothly? Tell me, did your group buys pay in full, in advance? How long did it take for them to get the group organized? Was the customer service as horrid as it is for us?I do not at all intend to insult your forum if it seems that way in something I've missed, I'm a member of several forums and have participated in a few GB's in my time.
Again, no professionalism, just snide remarks from someone who comes off as just another dick on the internet, when in reality, you're representing a business wanting people to spend money with you. WOW.So ask Jeff this, Jeff at livetoshoot, if you committed to an order with us, what's your PO number? Don't have one? Neither do we.
