You could always load the .357s up pretty mild ( as much as your tolerance will allow).

Don't expect to be able to hit something under stress with nasty loads if they're not tolerable at the range.

Including every pistol ive ever shot. The amount of recoil wouldn't be bad, except that the gun rotates so fast that its like an m80 going off in your hand. I want one to play with, but $700+ for something that is so small and violent is more than I can justify.

With a real grip that a normal man could hold, it would be a different story entirely.

Adam, I liked that Alaskan. I'd like to shoot it again, was pretty damn reasonable given it's caliber and weight. And a 260gr projectile @ 1473 fps and 1253ftlbs of energy is acceptable. Is it accurate?

My grandpappy used to have some .357 loads that were two double 00 balls loaded in each shell.

At 7 yards, the holes were ~3" apart. nasty.

I haven't spent a lot of time really trying to shoot it well, but it is more than accurate enough given its purpose.

I'm curious to see what it would do off of bags, but ammo is too expensive to spend any real time playing with it. That dude on gunblast turned in some pretty good groups with the Alaskan that he reviewed.

well then, buy a $20 set of dies and we'll load enough ammo to pay that back the first time.

easy easy to do. I have a bunch of 2400 alliant powder which I'm sure would work just fine for you (it's a .44 mag powder) and I'll supply primers. Just buy a die set and some (I believe) .452" projectiles at cabelas or bass pro and we'll load 70 rounds.

then you have to run around with the target in your hand while I try to hit it, jackal style.

Just keep collecting. Once you get up to 500 you should be able to keep at least 200 made up at all times. Reloading is the equivalent of a woman spending the day at the spa, it really clears your mind.

I have been wanting to do a polish job and spring kit on that trigger to get the D/A pull to a more reasonable amount. Maybe eventually I'll even have my damned holster for it.

I have a Taurus shrouded hammer snubby .357. I probably shot 10 rounds of .357 out of mine. I felt like I had absolutely no control over the gun - like trying to hold the snout of a pissed off pit bull. Switched to .38 and never looked back.

I have a Colt King cobra .357 magnum. It's gotta be my favorite pistol, but I dunno if I would want it to be any smaller. That thing shoots some flames when it's fired. More acurate then you would think though.
