With talk about the ATF trying to ban them, I am now in the market.

I've never shot "shot shells" myself. But I've heard the don't like to cycle in semi-auto pistols very well. Other than that, idk.

They don't make any back pressure. That's why they don't cycle.

Most won't cycle semi-auto pistols at all. You will have to hand cycle each round and depending on the brand you may get a stovepipe for everyshot.

My suggestions.

Semi auto- Just get a Saiga and be done with it. I would say Benelli M4 or something but you can almost buy two Saigas for the cost of those. And the Saiga is just a ton of fun to shoot.

Pump-Remington 870 or Mossberg 590. Both of these have a long history with strong aftermarket support.

I just got a FNH SLP Mark1 that I love. But there is a few things that really have to be changed IMO. But it doesn't cost too much to change.
