I get to go on my first hunting trip Thursday evening. My dumbass signed up for overtime from Sat.-Mon.! I'm hoping my oldest son and I get to go deer hunting this year too.

I can't wait til I can take my youngest daughter deer hunting. She's about to be two so I still have a few years
My older two daughters live with their mom in PA and are going to be here for Xmas so I'll probably take them

After 12 years of being together with my wife, I finally accepted an invite and dove hunted for the first time with my father-in-law. I gotta say, it was a blast. We'll be doing more tomorrow. While I still enjoy shooting pistols more, this was pretty cool and I'm hooked.

I might go out in the morning. Got a cooler and some ice. Ill gut and clean them as i wait to shoot the next bunch that fly's by.

That's what we used to do. I haven't been dove hunting in YEARS though. We don't have them at the deer lease in Alvord

Just stopped at Walmart in Gainesville and an old man got out is truck and I saw a dove in the bed. I said looks like you got some. He laughed and said 1.
I couldn't believe it was just laying in the bed of his truck just like it hit the ground I'm this 97* temp. Yuck!

Season doesn't open until Sept 21st in the south zone, which is where I'm heading down near Corpus.
