I use this guy for all moving needs. However, a 500 pound safe I'd probably do myself.

I helped a buddy move a 500+ lb safe just the other day, quit being a puss puss and get to it.

Sweet so you and your buddy have experience. When do you want to come help?

Wouldn't be bad if it wasnt on the 4th floor.

4th floor? Both places are ground floor bedrooms. Unless you are talking about something else.

Guess your safe is a different one that needs moved.

Buy a cheap 4 wheel dolly from H Freight and do it yourself. I moved my 900 lb safe in with a cheap ass dolly and my brother, 500lb your size should be a piece of cake.

I considered it and I even have dolly, but didn't want to screw with it.

I'm going to help move a similar sized safe in the next week. Right now our plan is just a low trailer, 3 guys, and a dolly

I suggest watching the Italian Job for ideas on moving a safe.

Well, obviously, he's shit out of luck as the safe rusts on the bottom of the canal.

I got insane amount of quotes for mine....

I got it moved from a 2nd story house(on the 2nd story) to my new house for $150 down here in Houston.

I don't see that being 500 lbs. IIRC, mine is probably 6" less width than yours and I moved mine with dolly. Definitely don't remember it being all that hard to move...not saying it wasn't heavy, just don't remember it being all that hard.
