    Sigh, typical Colt quailty...

I've had 220gr at 1,200, 185gr at 1,400, 135 at 2,050, and 165 at 1,600. All this talk about supported chambers. I've done 20% over max for many, many loads and I've never seen a 10mm case rupture, and that's thousands of rounds on multiple reloaded cases. Have you ever seen a 10mm case rupture Tony? But the reason all of this discussion is irrelevant is because by and large those high pressure loads are not accurate. Whether it's in a delta, g20, 7" long slide, witness match, etc. They just typically don't shoot well at those pressures.

I for one know this to not be the case as CJ has a Delta Elite that breathes fire of 1000 dragons. VaderTT can vouch for this as well because he mistook it for an actual dragon and tried to fuck it, only to burn his dick, twice.

Lol. hope I never mistake it for a cow.

Nothing wrong with the newer Witnesses. I had an older one that started to crack after lots of hot loads, but EAA fixed it free of charge.

Which EAA Witness model/frames have you read about issues? You can get them in both a polymer and steel frame. I'm curious because I've been eyeballing at Witness Elite Match in 10mm.
No DE's failed, a complete redneck gossip myth. It was a prototype and they fixed the problem before any owner ever touched it. And the problem was cosmetic, it was never a failure. You always hear these celestial theories and stories about DE's but try to find any picture or verify any of it. I have never even seen a DE fail no matter what was done to it.

This isnt .45 ladies, 10mm has a very strong case web, they dont need to be fully supported.

A bren 10 is a really expensive witness. The 1006 is great but damn expensive and the trigger leaves something to be desired. The 10mm witness problems were fixed years ago.

If you dont have money buy a witness 10mm. If you want something bullet proof at the expense of everything interesting get a g20, if you want a collectors piece get a bren ten, if you want the best of all worlds get a DE. Ive owned just about all of them and settled on the DE. My buddy who also has tried all the 10mm options settled on a DE as well, and he is a big glock guy.

Now the Dan Wesson and STI use a ramped barrel instead of the ramp as part of the frame, which allows for much better case support. The G20 also has a ramped barrel providing for more case support and the early G20s were found to be inadequate too.

The S&W 1006 is also a good idea.

I buy ammo from Underwood to have for self defense and if things ever get nasty. Underwood makes some great ammo.

The Delta Elite unfortunately has a traditional 1911 design with the ramp as part of the frame and the barrel relieved. This is not ideal for 10mm.

I'm also now reading that some say EAA frames split on the hotter 10mm loads... looks like DW, STI or a 1006 may be in my future.

The S&W 610 would be cool. Every time they fire up the tooling for that round, people trip over themselves to buy it, because the cylinder is long enough to ream for 10mm magnum. There have been single actions chambered in it, too.

I'm pretty sure that the last round fired out of it is still travelling.
