Yep x2. Carry needs to stay concealed imo, im way more concerned about campus carry passingOriginally posted by LANTIRN View PostNo, there are plenty who would make it a point to carry ARs around malls or downtown just because they want the attention. They know that due to all the shootings that have happened people are justifiably concerned if someone walks into a mall with an AK, but they ignore that and choose to do shit that they know causes alarm. They do it for the attention, and they will be the ones, if open carry passes, who push every business to put up legit 30.06 signs that screw everyone.2012 GT500

I think these people would be fewer and far between than that. I already see guys walking down the street in my neighborhood with their hunting rifles and nobody gives a shit. Cars passing by and everything. You guys make it sound like these people are everywhereOriginally posted by LANTIRN View PostNo, there are plenty who would make it a point to carry ARs around malls or downtown just because they want the attention. Also any business that puts up the legit 30.06 sign can be held liable for your personal safety, so there is that as wellWH

This argument always interests. On one hand I fully understand the opinion that is dumb to walk around with rifles in public areas and whatever else goes on. Thereby scaring a lot of people and the numerous other counter arguments to open carry - most have valid points.

On the other hand, are we supposed to suppress our right as American citizens because of people who are scared and the terrorists/criminals that made them that way?

Admittedly I do a double take on people walking around with rifles out in my hood. It's really a good thing to keep an eye on what people are doing - especially if they are not normally there or they are strangers.

Since it is a right of ours, I'll always support the option of open carry. Scaring others? They need to get used to it or opt to have their own weapon. Criminals will target you if open carrying? Possible, it's a risk that person chooses to take when doing so. So on and so forth...

Will I open carry a rifle in the mall? No. I also do not believe anyone with a lick of sense is going to be doing this either. OWB holster carry a full size hand gun? Sure I could see that increasing and other similar aspects. Maybe shoulder holstered UZIs and stuff. Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water. I fully support open carry. Hell I prefer 100% constitutional carry. Thing is, it isn't legal here, except for long guns. Even though that is legal, it does often cause alarm and in the end it is not helping the cause. They really are hurting the 2nd amendment by doing alot (but not all) of these demonstrations. Just because something is legal does not necessarily make it a good idea. I just ask for common sense and good judgement.Originally posted by ceyko View PostThis argument always interests. Well don't punish the rest of us for the lack of others not having these two traits!!!!Originally posted by LANTIRN View PostI just ask for common sense and good judgement.

I hear ya though. Although I just did a bayonet for one of my ARs, I may open carry with that.

Along with Cobra dude's opinion too, at least get some concealed carry going on in school campuses. Some bad places and especially at night when leaving after finishing a job.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Its almost as if they desire to live in this fake world where if you can't see it, it must not be real. They don't want to have to watch people, the fact that they might have to forces them to deal with the reality that they are not, and likely never will be "safe".Originally posted by ceyko View PostOn the other hand, are we supposed to suppress our right as American citizens because of people who are scared and the terrorists/criminals that made them that way?
