I would assume if someone had an account and wouldnt mind you buying through them. Matte black is really nice imo. and you cant beat the 50% off price (ex. matte blk Flaks $70.)
That's kinda what I assumed, getting shot at in the dessert get's you all the perks.
Is there a way for non-military to get that hook up, I wouldn't mind the matte black at all.
Actually it doesnt have to be military. As long as there Fire/EMS, Military, Police, Fed; they can open an account with the correct creditionals. So, if you have any friends that are any of those careers, ask em!
I really have to try REALLY hard to scratch my hydrophonic lens'. Last pair I mucked up were my last Flaks. I had put them in a side pocket of my patrol bag (normally take em off at dusk and put them in my truck but was busy), and later tried putting my Streamlight XL20 flashlight in the same pocket... I remember shoving it in there and thinking "WTF is wrong with this pocket!" Oh well.

I really like the look of the metal frames, but they look terrible on me.
I have a pair of matte FLAK's, and a pair of Colorado Rockies FLAK's (they have purple rubber, and will never be opened, because I wont be caught dead wearing them). Along with a pair of matte Straight's and a back up pair of glossy black Straights. They are all polorized, and the Army got them for me.
Of course I have 3-4 of the army M frames.
Hook a brother up with some M's! Are they ballistic or the regular retail M's? i need a pair so I can throw some yellow or clear lens' in them for tac. Cabela's shooting glasses are teh suck...
Exactly. They arent priced the way they are for nothing. Oakleys are the Highest quality glasses ive owned, I have several other brands from gas stations and American Eagle. I would drop any of these and feel confident that they would break, lens pop out, or lens shatter. Oakley's are ANSI (spell?) certified and used by the military, Feds, police (me), fire for a reason. They're the best imo!
(harrison, that that dude in the camo is actually wearing Wiley X SG1's. Another great brand btw!)
I'm just the opposite, most of the plastic frames look like shit on me, but I've got several of their metal frames that look fine. Whisker, Square Whisker, and Nanowire 2.0.
I was really starting to enjoy the Straight Jacket's and Scalpels, until they got chewed up. It's starting to get warm again though, so I have a feeling that I'll be buying a new pair of Scalpels soon if they dont' warranty them.
Today, it was between the Flak's or the Crosshair 2.0's... Ill be getting a set of matte black crosshair 2.0's with fire lens very soon.

Even after my dog chewed up my M frames, the lens was still in one piece minus teeth pocks. Oakley's are ANSI (spell?) certified and used by the military, Feds, police (me), fire for a reason. Same for my Straight Jackets and Scalpels while I breifly had them. lol Unfortunately the same can't be said for some of their metal frames. I learned this the hard way.

The clarity from a good lens reduces eye strain and the newer Oakleys have come a long way. There is a noticeable difference between putting on well made glasses and some gas station specials.
I've never had sunglasses that will stay on my face no matter what, like my M frames do. I also like that I can't see them when I wear them.

what's the big point in Oakleys? they look like any other sunglasses, they crush like any other sunglasses. Made cheaply and marked up like everything else in the world. Pretty much like a $99 Monster HDMI cable that has an actually cost of $3.02. Ha!
Say what you will, but I believe you're speaking from ignorance.
The term "ballistic" means something to some of us.
