From the way I understand it any distributor/retailer can sell frames/lenses separately. I know for a fact you can buy extra/separate lenses. If they didn't I wouldn't think you'd be able to walk in and get say a pair of Monster Dog frames in any of say 8 different color of lenses. I've been in an Oakley store when they're popping the lenses into frames.

Oakley publicizes the fact that they sell different lenses, but not spare frames. I've asked a couple places if they could order the frames, and the answer was no. I did a quick look on ebay last night, and the newer straght jacket frames are going for over $100 (if their real), and for that I'd rather buy a brand new pair with a different color lense to swap, or to have when mine invariably get scratched.

Thanks to all for the help. I guess ebay will be my best bet. JD, i beg to differ. He knew exactly where we were going cause he goes with us most Sundays. My glasses were "put up" as well. I always store em on the counter in the kitchen with is well above his eye level... But, I learned a valuable leason; keep them IN something.

I've been buying mine from ebay. It beats the retail price on Oakley's site by quite a bit. And mine have all been real Oakley's.

The only problem I have run into was trying to get a screw for my Ti Whiskers. It fell out and got lost in carpet at a customer's house. I called Oakley to see about getting a screw set. They told me they don't sell just the screws, but for $50 plus shipping each way they could do a "tune up" on my frames and replace the screw. I'm kinda pissed, but I love those frames and want to start wearing them again. I just can't justify $50 for a screw that I know costs less than a penny.

IMO one of your best bets is to win an auction on just the frames and then an auction on just some lenses. I've seen frames go as cheap as $30 brand new and lenses as cheap as $45 brand new.

I've only been given the option of matte black, but then again, that's my choice.

This is why I always keep a brand new extra pair on hand along with an extra set of lenses for my half jackets. No matter what happends I won't be with out my oakley's.
