That's why I brought this thread back up. People who don't hold a very high opinion of him, would gain some perspective as to why he did what he did, and could very well gain a lot of respect for the man. Obviously he didn't divulge everything, as a lot of it is still highly classified. But he does a pretty good job of setting the tone without giving every grizzly detail.

The story of any war time President intrigues me, and I probably identify with this one more than any, because I didn't live through the Vietnam war, WWII, etc. Did you know Bush personally wrote letters of condolences to the families of EVERY fallen American soldier in Afghanistan and Iraq while he was still in office? So much stuff like this, that the media will never tell, because it shows a humane, caring, grief stricken side of the man that contradicts the hateful warmonger that the media has painted him to be.
He'll eventually get his props. He might have screwed some things up, but he really made decisions that kept the world together. One of the toughest terms, hands-down.

Brent, I almost bought his book in the airport coming back from New York, but ended up picking up a little 150 page book called, "The 1% Solution for Work and Life".

I'll definately be picking it up soon, or a kindle or something to read on.

I've got a few books on the way that were recommended to me by OldGuysRule (Eric), but I'll have to a start stack now.

Valley Forge (Newt Gingrich) is next on my list, if only I could find a bootleg version.

I think Depp is worried about becoming like Jeff Goldblum or Wil Smith. Star in more than a couple of major films a year and people get tired of you. Pirates 4 comes out in May, I'd expect this one to come out sometime late in the year. Unless he's working on something else major.

I've been trying to get through The Robber Barrons by Matthew Josephson for months. The 1920-30s style of writing just doesn't sit well with me for some reason.

At the same time I have been reading a lot of Osprey publishing's military history books. Things like Agincourt, The Hundred Years War and the Plains Wars of the late 1800s.
