People that are cheap, always think they tip well. That shit cracks me up. These are also the same people that will overpraise the food and service. If you get a compliment, you're getting stiffed on the tip and might as well stop running your ass off that very second. That's their justification. But I tipped him 11%! Lol. If you can't afford to eat out, don't. If you can't afford to tip a delivery driver, pick it up or go fast food.

People WILL and DO fuck with you back. Be it spitting in the food, shitty service, dropping it on the floor, or generally inconveniencing you.

Places have to pay at least minimum wage. As stated before, dont like the job, find another.

But again rarely do I ever get pizza delivered. Honestly cannot remember the last time i did..

As a former pizza boy, if I do order delivery I usually tip $4+depending on the order amount. I typically order carryout though. It's worth me driving 5 minutes each way to say the tip plus the ridiculous delivery fees that the driver sees $1 of.

If someone was the no tipping type then they were last on the route. Pizza cold, tough shit. Oops they forgot the breadsticks, see you in an hours or so with those cold breadsticks for ya.

I can say 100% though that neither of my buddies ever spit in the food or massed with it. That's where they drew the line.
Yah I order pizza maybe twice a year, either way this entitlement for tips is annoying. I didn't force you to delivery pizza.show up on time and all the shit is there I tip more.Anything else Ill tip 20% unless service just sucks

I pick mine up, because I refuse to pay a delivery charge and tip. The only exception is if I'm drunk then he will get a decent tip, because I'm a friendly and usually hungry drunk lol.

I just picked up some wings and a medium pizza. Normally I get it delivered but I was hungry. I'm a fatass and when I order and have it delivered I tip between $5-$10 since I order a lot, especially when I've had a few beers.

I think someone in the original pizza tip thread suggested tipping the equivalent of 1 gallon of gas. So, $3-$4. Seems reasonable and it's what I've started doing.

Tipping as a % of the order total doesnt make any sense for pizza delivery, unless you are ordering a shit load of pizza. It's not like delivering 3 pizzas takes 3x the effort of delivering 1 pizza.

For my daughter's brithday party one year, we ordered a 36" "Party Pizza" from a local joint. The dude pulls up and takes the pizza out of the TRUNK of his sedan and lugs that giant pizza to the front door. I tipped him about $10, I think since that looked like a royal pain in the ass.
